30-Year Mortgage Rates Inch UpFreddie Mac confirms that average interest for 30-year fixed mortgages rose for the third consecutive week, bumping up to 4.24 percent from 4.23 percent a week ago.  The average 15-year rate for the week ended Nov. 4 was 3.63 percent, a drop from 3.66 percent.  Scott Brown, chief economist at Raymond James & Associates Inc., says this week’s Federal Reserve actions “aren’t going to change the economy right away, but they should help keep mortgage rates low for quite some time.”  Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch (11/05/10)   ©Copyright 2010 Information Inc.

There are many people effected by job loss, illness or just plain ole bad luck.       But don’t give up!All you have to do is to create a plan on how to get back on track. One client I worked with recently had to short sale his home in another state, his home de-valued to the point he could not sell for the balance of his mortgage – yet he had to relocate for his job.Be sure to meet with a good Mortgage Consultant;     let them qualify you and review your credit profile.   There are those who will council you on how to build a 6 month or multi year plan (i.e. 2   years) to get yourself back on track. You can also look for a lease property that may also be for sale.   There have been many of my clients who have been so lucky as to have leased a home and then purchase it in 2 years. And remember:   Be sure to be pre-qualified before going shopping for a home – “have a strategy and a plan”   so you can make that offer when you find your next home.Need help creating a plan?   I have some of the best mortgage consultants in the San Antonio area working with my team.  Don’t hesitate to ask for help…
